The Octopus Tree near Cape Meares lighthouse is thought to be an Indian ceremonial tree trained to grow in this shape and is probably over 250 years old.

Sadly, we left Doug behind. His joints have become very loose and he won’t hold a pose. Poor guy, but we all get old eventually.
